When did you join Isca Radio: 1992

What do you do in the "Real World": I work for Friends Provident, Clyst St Mary in the pensions filing department, (no windows) in the bowels of the company.

Hobbies/Interests: I attend Torbay Hospital Radio on Tuesdays, I attend a karate class, collect 7" records, I've been a member of the 5 th Exeter Boys Brigade since 1984 gaining the highest award in the organisation. I'm a very keen supporter of Exeter City Football Club and go to nearly all of the home matches I also collect Exeter Football programmes and am a lover of real ale.

If you had to make a request what would it be and why?: A choice of 3 - Come on Eileen by Dexy's Midnight Runners (my favourite song)

Or Kung-Fu Fighting by Carl Douglas, (great song and number one when I was born)

Or Ace of Spades by Motorhead (class tune, what rock music should be!)

Tell us an interesting fact about you: I have been to the top of Wellington 's monument in Somerset , lots of steps which go round and round, small platform and the top, tiny windows, stunning views. Also - I#ve been to Burnley .

Name one thing that really annoys you : (Apart from Terry) Rude people, you make the effort to be friendly and they throw it back in your face.

Quickfire Questions:

Stones or Beatles: Beatles (of course)

The King or Old Blue Eyes: The King

Britney or Madonna: Madonna

Slow and Peaceful or Fast and Loud: Slow and peaceful

Cd's or Vinyl: Vinyl

Commercial or BBC Radio: BBC

Why do you think Hospital Radio stations are important?: It makes the listener feel important and personal. It is like you are talking to your listeners. Unlike normal radio who sometimes do not give a monkeys and who are in it for the money.

What would you say to someone who is thinking of joining Isca Radio: Look around our website or pop into the studio, have a walk around, pick up an application form and see what happens. Hey - they took me on and that was over 12 years ago. I've never looked back, it's a very worthy cause.
